Showers, Loo's and washing up
Our rustic but stylish bathrooms, centrally located, offer clean and homely areas for washing off those muddy toes. Men's bathrooms house 2 loos, 2 showers and 2 sinks. The Ladies also offers 2 loos and 2 showers, one of which is a spacious wet room style rain shower with space for dressing children and an adjoining sink area, handy for families. We have a baby bath you can fill in here and a table you can use for happy nappy changing. During times of wet weather (hardly ever?!) our rain tanks fill and loos are flushed with the precious essence of sky, saving a considerable amount of water consumption. Washing up sinks are in the main 'hub' too, and these are now under cover! With hot water and often a spare scrubbie, you can wash up your latest camping gear and pans without the inconvenience of cold water facilities. *Don't forget! 'real' plates and cups are more sustainable than paper ones and worse - plastic disposables!* Our campsite is small so bathrooms are rarely overly congested but get in early or late to avoid peak washing up times which tend to leave the hot water a little low. We heat our water using a hefty wood burning stove so showers are good and warm. Excess hot water is pumped into the radiators keeping bathrooms toasty and dry. Our firewood is sourced locally from sustainably managed coppice.
We are carrying out some more upgrades around our hub as we do every winter!
New photos of our lovely facilities will be on here soon.
Please note we will have special measures in place for the remainder of 2020! Please watch this space for further details or get in touch to discuss any concerns.
